Executive Director – Sonja Rosenberg

Sonja Rosenberg is delighted to join the VISAC Gallery as Executive Director, bringing a
creative heart and a deep commitment to the Kootenay arts scene. Originally from Winnipeg,
the Kootenay-based artist is a passionate advocate for regional culture. She continues to serve
as Vice Chair of the Castlegar Arts Council and looks forward to supporting the arts community
in Trail.

A working artist with a BFA from NSCAD University, Sonja specializes in jewellery design and
large-scale wire sculpture. Her practice explores balance, light, and form, and her work has
been supported by various grants and showcased across North America. This professional
experience gives her a firsthand understanding of the dedication required to sustain a creative
career.

For Sonja, the VISAC Gallery is more than a creative space—it’s a place for neighbors to
connect and for inspiration to grow. She is incredibly excited to meet the artists and art-lovers of

Gallery and Programming Coordinator – Charlotte Truant

Charlotte brings a fresh perspective, a strong passion for the arts, and deep roots in our local creative community. Alongside this role, she is also a talented wedding and family photographer that runs Lota Love Photography , capturing the heart and spirit of life’s special moments through her lens.
