Opportunities for Artists

2026 / 2027 Call for Artists

At VISAC, we are passionate about supporting artists at any stage of their career. We offer many opportunities for artists to exhibit their work, expand their skills and participate in community events.

We are currently planning our 2026/2026 exhibition schedule. If you are an artist located in the Columbia Basin, we welcome you to express your interest in exhibiting. Call For Emerging Artists

Are you a new /emerging artist who is new to exhibitions but interested in taking your art out to share with your community?

VISAC is excited to launch our new Pop Up Mini Gallery project in 2026. This project will bring small but mighty solo exhibits (3-4 pieces) to venues around Trail.

We will help you with all the steps along the way.
Best of all, this is a paid exhibit opportunity!
Interested or know someone who might be?

Please fill in our expression of interest here.
We will look forward to hearing from you!

Members Salon

Our 2024 Members Salon included over 70 pieces of artwork, submitted by 27 artists.

The Salon is a celebration of the immense talent of local visual artists. We are so inspired by the skill and variety of the artists who call the West Kootenay region home and are excited to share this work with the public and folks who might not otherwise be able to experience art in this way.

As a community-based gallery, we play an essential role in supporting and promoting emerging and established artists in the West Kootenay region.  We foster emerging talent, assist in providing greater recognition for more established artists, and offer viewers a new way of experiencing art.

Bailey Lounge

Located on the 2nd floor of Selkirk College in Trail. This exhibition space is great for smaller bodies of work, and is enjoyed by Selkirk College staff, visitors, and theatre patrons.
